Friday night...

... and even less of a post tonight, but I've had the gardener bending my ear about how he used to work cash-in-hand for a Polish countess who was Mitterand's mistress and he wasn't allowed to prune the roses as that was Mitterand's job, then I spent the evening cooking moules farcies then Tom lost his eating reading glasses and we had to look for them before we could eat the moules farcies and they turned out to be in the barn next to the tile cutter where he'd left them after cutting his thumb on a bit of broken slate, and now I've rather run out of steam.

So here are three photos of Molly, with her companion humans, on our last holiday with her in May in the Troglogites in the back hills in Finistère:

having a roll around on the carpet,

enjoying her kennel on wheels (that isn't a pink sausage roll in her mouth, it's her tongue)

and on our way out.

Time for a glass of wine, see you on Saturday.

I'm figuring on averaging out, since I could not do anything last evening when I finally got home.

We're off to North Wales for my cousin's seventieth, thanks to brother Sir Hugh who has driven down from the Lake District where he lives to pick us up. A monstrous dog's leg journey which will be repeated in reverse tomorrow.

Tom appears to have grown into that couch whereas Mol (apparently in flight), too, has become part of the pattern on that rug.

Thanks both.

Z - it's odd really that I feel compelled to try to post something every day, after all it makes no difference to anything or anyone; it's not even as if I'm signed up on the official website any more or anything. It just seems as if I let one go I might as well let them all go, and I don't want to accept defeat, even, or especially, at my own hands!

Robbie - these photos cheer me as it was only a couple of months before Mol died, she wasn't walking much further than to the car and back from the gite, but she was quite cheerful, interested in her surroundings and still up for a holiday. I do hope you have a cheering trip and a good party, you could do with one, and I'm sure Sir Hugh is more than happy to help.

I know you miss Molly but what a handsome family you made.

Aww, thanks Bruce! We do, of course, but it gets easier to think and talk and look at pictures of her more cheerfully. We were so blessed to have her.

Lovely lovely photos, you look so splendidly familiar (both of you) that I wouldn't be surprised if we'd been friends in a past life. As well.
