Leaves on tarmac

'Pinky-brown dead leaves from Brochain's eucalyptus tree have fallen into the patches of soft tar on the road.  They flatten and meld and crack, and look like some decorative effect.'

Wow! Like batiks. That would make a great print.

Some of them look like mysterious footprints.

Oh, oh! The photo collage is wonderful. Yes, like batik - or like an ancient mosaic. Really exceptional!

Mosiac leaves, naturally.

Thank you very much, this was actually something of an in-haste post, so nice to get a good reception.

It only seems to work with eucalyptus leaves, it must be something to do with their composition, in patches of repaired tarmac which seem to have a rather low melt point. No other leaves seem to remain embedded like this.

As a compulsive snapper of leaves on tarmac, I can only take of my hat to you Lucy in respect of these, and bow low.
