Rain, rain,

go away,

I'll take it. Actually, I'm pretty happy with the snow right now, but anytime you want to send rain...

We seem to have much the same weather here in Kent as you do in Brittany. The rain drops are always something sad to watch if you are a dog or a small boy, but at least something to watch. I remember watching the rain when I was a child with much the same expression as Molly.

It was the same here yesterday - but is beautiful today.

I love the occasional stay-in day - cosy by the fire.

Oh and you are halfway today, aren't you?

Well done!

Thanks again, and thanks RB for the pat on the back, I'd not noticed the halfway mark, though I had been thinking about it.

In fact the weather did brighten up shortly after, and we all went for a walk. We got a bit wet but it was nice to get home!

Molly has such a delightful profile...

I so agree. I'm absolutely sick of it. Today I went walking with a friend and we realized that wellies would have been much better for the job.

(While we are invoking the weather gods, will you please ask the wind to stop blowing as well? Thanks.)

This caused me to comiserate with Molly out loud.

I had an odd moment today. Some time ago, at least a couple months, my old cat wandered away and I thought that was it. She went away to die. It turns out not so. A neighbor knocked at my door today with my old cat in her arms, and she had scooped her up down the street that day, the cat looking to her disoriented. She is we both agree a bit senile.

A former neighbor had been visiting and saw a picture of the cat and knew she belonged to me, said so.

It turns out that my cat is much better behaved and also warmer for all that over at her house. So when I pointed that out she agreed to keep her. I had her for almost nineteen years but she never took to this house and let me know it. Hence here, she is a garage cat and over there she is a well behaved house cat. She was a well behaved house cat where we came from too. I don't know why but her bathroom habits were terrible here. She is obviously happier with the neighbor lady.

You just never know.
