Arrived a bit after 11,
stacked by lunchtime. Chicken and veg soup with dumplings. Then the hedge man came, then we had to fetch the car, then order the nurse for a routine blood test for Thursday (yes, we have district nurses here), now I'm off to see this concert.
Quite a busy day really, unseasonably beautiful weather, no fires yet.

I like your weather. It usually moves towards our corner of the earth.
my parents have also just received their wood. such a charming rustic thing to do. me? i just turn up the thermostat and light a firewood scented candle. hardly the same...
How much wood did you order? In the picture it looks like a lot.
Hello Susan, I see you are in the fire wood business yourself! We used to get a cord from our farmer, that's to say three cubic metres, I can't remember if that's less what's lost in the cut or not. It was a smallish tractor trailer load.
It was a while ago now, and we are currently living in a rental with underfloor heating, which is comfortable but not cosy, and will soon be moving to a new house with a pellet burning stove, which I am looking forward to.
