It's funny - I always forget that this is what a duck looks like prior to winding up on my plate. I can't make the connection because it's covered with feathers, not orange sauce.

Great pics. Do you EVER take a lousy shot?!

I still recall my surprise when I was a very small child, perhaps 4 years old, being addressed by a friendly woman as "ducky" a term of endearment, with which I was unfamiliar at the time. Your daily posts are something to look forward to.

The duck lived at the place where we were staying by Mont St Michel in September. All the fowls wandered through the garden of the gites, but the ducks were shyer than the hens. I don't think it was very easy for them to perch on the fence with webbed feet!
