great to see you back! the pictures, as usual, are lovely, although i must admit to being a little disturbed by the last one - pickled alien life form? a brain? what IS it?
Thanks chaps, and welcome Vivien, nice to see you here.
This was an afternoon of late sun after days and days of rain, I was so delighted to see it, I just pointed the camera at it everywhere it landed. The 3rd, 5th and 6th ones look b/w but didn't require any desturation, the shadows and contrasts were just very sharp.
Last one. It's a slightly odd little double stacking bottle someone gave us, with two sorts of different booze in each part. So the top of the bottom bottle fits inside the base of the one above, and you can see the shape of it through the liqueur. I kind of wish it wasn't there in the photo, as what I really like is the shape of the glass and the colour of the liquid and the way it refracts the light onto the wall behind. On the other hand it does look a bit curious and adds extra texture!
This series of light and the way it falls on objects is really wonderful and eye-opening. There is so much going on around us which the camera in the way you see through it can pick up. I love the bottle and the B & Ws

Very good photos - like interesting abstract paintings.
Great pictures. I love the way you find your shots. I have taken quite a few lately and they are mostly my friends and such.
Oh! Wonderful photos!
I echo Dale, and add that my most favorite is the first - the black and white is so dramatic.

You have a great eye for what works. Thank you for these.

These are beautiful, such a refreshment to the spirit.
Wow....Each one makes me want to see everything around it, even though each has a feel of completeness of itself.
Wow.
