Hill's shoulder, lopped tree,
Magpie out of the blue
- the camera saw, not eye.
Small mauve embryos
Of false acacia,
A sweet chestnut's spiny nest.
Lovely words and photos, especially the last one! Continuing to enjoy visiting though I don't always comment...
Thanks ML, comments are not mandatory!
L. These are lovely. I think my favourite is the last one. Looking at the world beneath your feet is fascinating.Thank you for your comment on my moon post. Re Loreena Mckennitt. yes you will see from this post ( below) that I know the poem you mention, just a little bit! :)http://secrethill.blogspot.com/2006/12/highwayman.html
Thank you herhimbryn, I love looking at leaf litter on the ground, it's endlessly various!I'll look at your Highwayman post presently, so gald you like Loreena too.
I like the second best, especially the pun of the final word. So often we look, but do not see.
thanks Kurt, I sometimes find the camera picks up something quite tiny, which I'm too caught up with the mechanics of taking the photo to notice. I might put together a post of those shots sometime...
