Be seeing you

Now I'm off to Normandy for a few days, with a sheaf of submissions to look at, a husband, a dog, a (still) new car, a camera, a sample of every thickness of clothing we possess - going away in early May is lovely but unpredictable - and NO COMPUTER.

The yellow azalea languished long in the wrong place in the garden, now it is flourishing with others of its kind near the house in a specially constructed ericaceous bed. A smell camera not having been invented, rub ylang-ylang perfume on the computer screen to get the idea.

Time away... bon voyagee.

(Tell me about the clothing weight issue, hard to figure out what to pack to move when one day it's a coat, the next shorts and tank top.)

Hope you have had a lovely time. It's jolly hot here so I sure you are having wonderful weather in Normandy. Make sure you sample plenty of calvados.

Have a great time - and what a beautiful yellow azalea!

You do not mention bucket and spade, shrimping net and floppy sun hat, with which I imagine you and Tom, to say nothing of Mol, gaily sporting amid the sands and rock pools of Deauville.

I've never seen a yellow azalea! We have some white ones in the garden -- just now in bloom. In Houston we used to get lots of vivid pinks and fuschias.

Do enjoy your holiday; but I look forward to your return via computer!

Enjoy your computerless time. Which is silly to say, since you wont read this until you once more computered!
My mother loved yellow & deep gold Azaleas.

Have a great time. No chasing white peacocks and floating jellyfish. Just relax and enjoy the lovely poems. In the company of greatness I think.
