Thanks all, on behalf of the terracer and myself. It is a kind of 'mixed media' terrace, as it is extremely large(1oo sq.m); we read somewhere a terrace should be the same surface as the elevation of the house it abuts to. Our landscaped gardener friend scratched his chin and said he'd never heard of this, but we've started so must finish. So it's going to be a combo of paving, brick sets(left over from front terrace) and gravel, the brick areas forming islands in the gravel, the paving round the edge. could be an unholy mishmash but I'm sure it'll weather in! The Superman logo was from a little novelty torch thing a friend had who came round that evening, which projects it on any surface,( The surface in question is getting somewhat smaller from the sustained manual labour...) Rachel, he says for you, anything!

What a lovely terrace, and how satisfying the textures, the symmetry and the care taken. Mmm. Superterracer indeed.
I especially like the "S".
Nice work Tom!!
Looks like hard work. But the results look very satisfying.
Beautiful paving tiles L. Clay?
Tom has another fan in Oz now:)
Size of terrace?
Bravo! & Well done!
GOM can testify, it is not all beer & skittles, laying those pavers.
Does he work for cash in hand? I have a little job....
Just shows that there are pictures to be composed anywhere, if you look. Loved the 5th one.

It's a fine art at the best of times. But more so when it is so beautifully chronicled.
Does he travel? I could use him here. Beautiful job, hope you get the sun to enjoy it.
