Grasping is the word that comes to mind. I used to think that ivy was benign but I changed my mind when I lived with a yard overrun by it.
Are the trees supporting the ivy or the ivy helping to support the trees? Hard to say.
What incredible patterns of twisting and twining. And those limpets are so clingy. Great photos.
It looks like one spindly body is wrapping around another one! The word "gnarled" also comes to mind.What strange and wonderful forms nature can take . . .
