What are they? 1)rose petal caught in single strand of spider's web. 2)mass of web - spider's nest? - on marjoram plant, with dew. 3)astilbe flowers against another water edge plant, dandelion seed caught in web. 4) my niece's posh new kitchen countertop, made from fragments of clear glass held in some kind of opaque resin or glass matrix, recycled materials and very hard-wearing and high quality. She's a designer dontcha know... 5)sloe gin in the making. 6)self-evident.
That rainbow shot! Once in a while we can capture an outstanding image. I enjoy photography and have a large record (now mostly saved "in the cloud")but only a few come to me as really exceptional and these have often happened because the light has been just right.
These photos are sublime - especially the second one and the last one (rainbow sailing through a tree that's almost bare - great shot).
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! That second one seems almost like the froth of a waterfall or a hidden brook bubbling away.
ReplyDeleteI love all those pics..especially the rainbow..wow!

ReplyDeleteAmazing as usual.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as always, Lucy. I love the almost abstract ones that make one pause to think what they might be.
ReplyDeleteYes, but what are they?
ReplyDeleteThanks all.

Rainbow pics kind of snap themselves, so when a rainbow pic takes your breath away it's got to be a bit special. And it is.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely. I love how blogs allow me to watch a body of work, a personal aesthetic, stretch and grow.
ReplyDeleteGlorious Lucy.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous photography, Lucy!
ReplyDeleteI love the rose pedal!
ReplyDeleteWe say "good eye!" when a batter knows not to strike at a baseball that just out of the strike zone.
That's what came to my mind when I saw that photo! So many would've walked right past it without seeing it.
