Things worth coming home for...

Books arrived in the post.

A teapot, one's own.

Soup and toast.

The new red wallpaper, half forgotten.

Buttercups and sorrel in the verges.

Molly's place on the sofa.

The white azalea flowering.

(and you all, of course !)

  3. Now that's a little verse I really enjoyed.

Lovely ambience and then some pictures to enjoy too.

    Hope you enjoyed the break.

  4. I didn't follow much and didn't know where you've been..but there's always no place like home!

  5. The bed, always the bed, with the memory mattress, the reading lamps just so, the goose-feather pillows, and - when it rains - the plink-plonk on the metal heating vent just above us on the roof.

  7. Coming home is always good, with a doggy-bag full of holiday memories. And photographs to look forward to.

  8. Welcome Home

    Sometimes flowers shriek
in white, or red, or yellow
    and I've heard, colors
    beyond violet
    especially ecstatic
    that we cannot see
    but may sense other
ways in heart and soul, like I
    sense you coming home.

  14. Lovely spring.

For me, it's always my own pillow, and a way to make my own tea.

  15. What a stunning azalea! (Does it seem like they are particularly nice this year? JAPRA and I were just saying.)

I'm glad you are back; and isn't it wonderful to be reunited with home comforts?
