Through the bedroom window thin brown chestnut leaves stand against blue winter leeks, and a wren sings. Its sharpness pricks through the skin of apathy, transfuses just enough of vigour from the little thing's heart to get me out of bed.
I wanted to say how much I like the colours and intense visual quality of this post and its feeling of awakening. I have been following the account of Tom's recovery as well: recounted with great feeling and clarity, so very moving to read. Wishing Healing To Tom!
lovely image to start the week with...and give Tom a kiss from me x
ReplyDeleteYes, wrens make the best alarm clocks!
ReplyDeleteLovely indeed. And relaxing to read (makes me think of Sunday mornings). ;) Brown and blue hues then a song -- must've been a good day. Cheers.

ReplyDeleteMagpies awaken me in the morning. Your words made me appreciate their songs.
