A small fib, with pictures.

I've been scribbling more reflections on elections all evening, but find I've run out of time to post them, especially as they rely rather on references to others, and would require quite a bit of linkage. Why I think I've got anything to add I don't know but I do, so I'll try to get onto it tomorrow.

So, meanwhile, a Fib and some photos.

So
then

we went
to the mill,
for woods and water

are just what Molly loves the best.

  1. Fibber.

    Mathematical poems. That tickles.

    small
    moment
    leaves larger
    impressions. Your poems
do that too, I said, truthfully.

    Decision

    My
    Dog
    Follows
    By leading
    But then a crossroads
Causes her to wait while I choose.

    Decision II

I tried to fool her, make her lead.
    When she understood,
    She refused,
    Led no
    More.

    Take out

    "Led no
    More."

    Put in

    "Would not
    Lead
    Us."

  11. I had never heard of them either!
How fun...and love the photos...wonderful autumn where you are, too.
Please do post re the election...You would not believe the number of people who (guilt ridden, I'm sure) are trying to justify who they voted for 8 years ago and then again 4 years ago...and are filibustering like mad to convince themselves that they weren't wrong.

Don't know how much you saw on your television, but I have to say that the Pres-elect certainly seemed to feel the gravity and deep meaning of the entire process and event. Very moving. Unfortunately, for too many Americans, we did not have as much opportunity to see this side of him during the campaign as you in Europe did with his trip early on. Sometimes this country is just too dang huge...and all of our different cultures and viewpoints make it crazy-hard to change things.

Sorry...didn't mean to ramble...we are just so very, very relieved that B & Co. are gone.

  13. I was trying to decide which of these beautiful photographs I liked best, and then I realized that I really didn't need to!

I look forward to your words about the election. (I still can't think of anything else, really.) You always have such a well-balanced, intelligent way of framing both a visual and a mental view.

  14. If that's a fib, let's have more of them. Those images are simply ravishing! If that's a small fib, what would we get with a big one? I doubt the senses could stand it! Lovely!
