As I drove to and from my destination, I found myself saying goodbye to the leaves, sad that they have to go, but still so piercingly beautiful in their later days. It is a really amazing thing that the trees do this, and that we are equipped to perceive such intense beauty.

My beloved piano teacher/friend/mother figure long ago talked to me about how the autumn leaves are like the way we will be in the next life. Our true colors showing, with the Light shining through and around us, emptied of the "chlorophyll" of earthly-ness. She is nearing that time now, making each autumn even more poignant as I look at the leaves and remember that conversation over twenty years ago, and our conversation of this week about her nearing death.Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03592157819188364751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37070024.post-66761372414622630732010-11-13T22:58:39.664+01:002010-11-13T22:58:39.664+01:00I've always felt the rain added to the depth o...I've always felt the rain added to the depth of color, like stones on the beach are always so much prettier than after they dry out in pockets.Zhoenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03515663141425057088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37070024.post-13821323276734722022010-11-13T22:58:11.580+01:002010-11-13T22:58:11.580+01:00lovely lovely lovely lovely lovely!!!lovely lovely lovely lovely lovely!!!YourFireAnthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03428838843235292696noreply@blogger.com
