Leslee and Jean - the cutlery shot was just a lucky one, but an interesting demonstration; what one often means by (good) depth of field is actually a shallow depth of field, hence only one set of cutlery stands out clear... sez she like she knows anything about photography.
The top one could be a photo from one of those distorting lenses that makes big objects look small - in this case the arches of a giant intercontinental railway station under construction. The glass calls for the celebration of the top image - fantastic!
Brings on memories of muscadet and sea food when I was in Brittany some years ago. It looks as good in your photograph as my memory tells me it tasted.
