I never knew jadis was anything other than an adverb. And my paperback French-French Dictionnaire Universel (Two euros in Lodève market) seemed to confirm this. But massive and definitive Collins Robert quickly established that Box Elder, as expected, was ahead of the game.

Am I reading something sinister into Bee's first comment? The snowdrops, witch hazel and croci are blooming. I've never seen the latter out so early! The local ski hill that is being used for some Olympic events is talking about bringing some snow from somewhere else!!!marja-leenahttp://www.marja-leena-rathje.infonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37070024.post-61937614043598986162010-01-22T22:53:26.430+01:002010-01-22T22:53:26.430+01:00Wine cork nipples... why does that ring a bell??Wine cork nipples... why does that ring a bell??Fire Birdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13518190677399410354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37070024.post-83367613315065971782010-01-22T22:23:00.767+01:002010-01-22T22:23:00.767+01:00ack, that should be ontogeny, not ontology...ack, that should be ontogeny, not ontology...HKatzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17653570160517335758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37070024.post-54779293376996944992010-01-22T22:22:07.523+01:002010-01-22T22:22:07.523+01:00There's an expression of "ontology recapi...There's an expression of "ontology recapitulating phylogeny" in human (particularly pre-natal) development. And now looking at the series of photos, it's like she's returning to a primordial state (the second to last one looks like the fossil of an early humanoid / platypus type creature). I wonder if that's been the main blast now, or if we are going to have more of this winter stuff to come? Reading through your post about supplies (where Tom is on the sofa, watching snooker with Molly) made me wonder if I should stock up a bit. All of that Christmas entertaining has given me a dread of grocery stores and the stove. Hopefully, not a permanent state.

(Sadly, I did not see the Audrey Hepburn movie you called to my attention. I was probably doing something really unimportant as well.
